Sandymount students partnered with the American Heart Association to raise money to fight Heart Disease. Sandymount students raised money based on their jump rope event. As a school we were able to raise over $9,000.00 to donate to the American Heart Association. The Jump Rope for Heart event was held during the week of March 6-10 in classes and after school during this week.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students, teachers, parents, and other adult family members worked together to promote healthy lifestyle changes and promote physical activity while educating students about the fight against heart disease. The community came together during in-school activities as well as after school physical activity and fund raising.
