We wanted to honor our "boys in blue" for making it to the World Series. Several of our community education partners helped us with decorating. We asked staff and students to wear blue and/or Royals attire all week. We placed blue items on the menu: blueberry crisp, blueberries, blue fruit ice, blue power gelatin, our applesauce and pears turned blue. We invited parents and community partners to stop in and have lunch with us.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Everyone was so excited that our Royals had made it to the World Series, everyone was in celebration mode and wanted to carry that into the school and lunchroom. Students came up with some blue food ideas and everyone participated with wearing Royals and blue attire.
