KICK OFF sponsoring Treats for Troops

The FUTP 60 Team sponsored Treats for Troops and the students donated their Halloween candy for our service men and women serving overseas. The team offered prizes to the classes with 100 percent participation. The school ended up collecting over 250 pounds of candy saving the school 250,000 calories!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students advertised and put the word out in the school that they were collecting candy and asked students to donate. The FUTP 60 team determined the prizes and got passes to ZAP ZONE for laser tag or the trampoline park. They made posters advertising the event.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

In the past students did not want to give up their candy but the prize incentives has helped. The gym teacher also offered an extra gym time to grades with 100% participation, since we had so many classes reach this goal. In the past, it was typically only one class.
