Kickoff Assembly Goes Wild
We had our Kickoff assembly on Friday the 24th of October. Our Fuel Up to Play 60 members danced to a performance of their version of "Veggie Tales." Then, after the explanation about eating healthy, we were able to get active by competing in some "Minute to Win It" games. It was a competition between students in the different grades. Individuals were picked form the audience that "dressed up" in their sports attire and they were off to compete. It was a smashing success as the winning grade was finally decided after the final competition of pumpkin bowling. The 7th grade class won with a strike! Success and excitement was felt throughout the gym.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Challenges we had were meeting together to make sure to rehearse the performance. We were able to set aside a day a week to plan and prepare and the students really stepped up on doing the work on their own.
