On Friday, November 6, 2015, Alcona Elementary (Fierce Tigers) held our Kickoff event where an all-school assembly and open invitation to parents went out. We had a guest speaker, Teresa Wilt, nutrition facilitator, present as well as plenty of giveaways, dancing to the Bone Rap and fun to promote Fuel Up to Play 60. The FUTP 60 student committee was phenomenal with the presentation in the assembly and the next Monday, November 9, 2015, presented to the Alcona Community School Board!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Several students on the committee have stepped up and become great leaders! The students did a phenomenal job presenting to students at a school-wide assembly with about 20 parents present. They were naturally born public speakers!
