We live in rural Michigan where we grow many local crops such as asparagus, apples and cherries, We are also just two miles away from our local dairy farm. We have been purchasing our milk locally for the past 6 years, that is an approximate 200,000 gallons of milk from cows who live and eat on our door step. Our students made a visit to Country Dairy to learn more about how the milk comes from the cow to the school. They had so much fun especially when it came time to try out the ice cream!
