Kids go to the Moo School

We live in rural Michigan where we grow many local crops such as asparagus, apples and cherries,  We are also just two miles away from our local dairy farm. We have been purchasing our milk locally for the past 6 years, that is an approximate 200,000 gallons of milk from cows who live and eat on our door step. Our students made a visit to Country Dairy to learn more about how the milk comes from the cow to the school. They had so much fun especially when it came time to try out the ice cream!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students were very proactive in taking part in their video. Apparently we adults are not so cool and the students collaborated to make the video more trendy. Students and adults worked closely to edit and decide what should and should no be in the video. As you can see in our video clip the adults demonstrated their groovy singing techniques.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

A relationship now exists which was not there before. Students feel confident and empowered to approach the adults and work together.
