Kinder Brain Break

This year, our school has been working to incorporate more physical activity brain breaks and activity movement academic lessons in class for our students. One of our favorites involves the book From Head to Toe by Eric Carle. During this activity, the students are up actively participating and pretending to be different animals from the book. Not only does this teach the students different body parts, it also teaches them different animals and they are physically active during the lesson.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Each grade level teacher along with the PE teachers researched and created active lessons and brain break activities. We then shared these activities with our peers in mini sessions after school so that everyone would have several activities to use throughout the year.
