Success with Funds

The Fuel Up to Play 60 grant was a huge benefit for our school. All of the brand new equipment is being utilized in PE class and a majority of the older stuff that was in my closet was distributed to the classroom teachers. I put together bags of older (but still good to use) soccer balls, footballs, kickballs and basketballs for the classroom teachers and delivered them as if I were Santa Claus! I have noticed the students have been much more active during recess because of this.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

At the beginning of the school year, I noticed students were fairly lethargic during recess. Since the bags of different balls were distributed to the classrooms there have been great improvements with how excited students are about going to recess and this keeps the students very active.
