Physical Activity Participation

The classroom teachers of Las Colinas Elementary engage the students with brain breaks throughout the day using physical activities, exercises, GoNoodle, and Adventure to Fitness. The teachers also teach 30 minutes of physical education to their classes on the days their students don't get PE in the gym. Many students and teachers can be found on the "afterschool physical activities Wall of Fame."

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The biggest improvement has been the teachers' overall involvement with the promoting of brain breaks and physical activity. The teachers and the students are now both involved on a regular basis.
