Stanton Elementary has created a folk dance team that keeps students coming back. Lazos Folklorico is made up mostly of students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Some students that have been in the program and moved up to the middle school have come back to help or continue to dance with the group. The students participate in differently community events around town, showing off their great dancing skills. They are building a lifelong love of dancing!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The teacher that leads this program has built a great bond with the parents. They help where ever she needs help. They make the costumes, car pool, fix snacks, whatever she needs them to do. This has enabled the program to continue and grow.
