Healthy Breakfast, Healthy Lunch – BAR NONE

Our students wanted to choose a healthy snack for lunch each day and eat something healthy for breakfast in the morning. They are working together as a team to encourage one another to continue this through out the school year. In PE, we go over what are good healthy choices for the students to choose so they have a variety of options and are not just eating the same thing over and over. They are also trying to get their families involved at home to have at least one healthy food item on the table for dinner!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Each day in PE we try to go over what some of the students chose for lunch the day before or what they brought for that day as their healthy snack. We also ask them if their families had a healthy food choice for dinner time the night before. We call on a few students to share and discuss what other food items they could choose as well. We continually encourage the students to keep up the good work and to help one another in continuing this goal through out the school year and into summer!
