At Fannin we made a initiative to begin gardening around school. Our success has come from all classrooms participating in having a garden of their own. The Fuel Up to Play 60 team made their own garden by the gym. They planted lily flowers, but other classes have planted vegetables and fruit. We have even planted trees.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan to make this Play last beyond this school year by continuing to promote the importance of being healthy and eating the right kinds of foods. We will do this by continuing to plant vegetables, fruits, trees and plants. This will allow students be a part of the gardening/healthy culture.
