After four years of only having one table tennis table, we got two more due to various funding, and also with the help of Fuel Up to Play 60 we had a blast playing with our flag football equipment on the field last year. The kids want more and I am in the process of finding grants or funds for our PE program and after-school programs as well.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Just by having fundraising here and there, and mostly the students donating their own funds for equipment and some help from my principal.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

With volunteer help from the community around our school's neighborhood, and the parks department for space which we do not have, but we make it work. Companies such as Advantage Cartridge offer cash for recycled ink and toner cartridges as well as cell phones. Parents and students collect used cartridges from their homes and places of business and earn cash for them. Learn more about Advantage's program, Recycling for Kids.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Higher academic grades since I established conduct sheets for my student athletes and also more kids deciding to sign up for table tennis and flag football as well.
