Physical Activity Participation
Our students have been asking for a soccer ball, football, and frisbees during recess. They are organizing their own games and being active even when they don't have to be. All skill levels participate and everyone seems to be having more fun now that they have something to do besides just the playground.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Not all of the students were excited about playing the different games but they were presented in a fun and meaningful way. This led to some of the students who were reluctant having fun and wanting to play games they were not originally interested in.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The overall student body is more active. One of the students told me her mother said we were doing a good job because she had lost a few extra pounds from the extra exercise she has been getting. This motivated her to participate in more activities during recess.
