Library Day with Milk
Each class at Sam Rayburn Elementary has a designated library time. During this time, our librarian will read a book and discuss thematic elements with students. To complement Fuel Up to Play 60, for the previous two weeks classes were read an age-appropriate book about cows or milk production. Then they were given a milk mustache sticker from Fuel Up to Play 60 and allowed to take a picture in a photo booth. Students then selected their library books and checked out. At check-out, they were given their choice of chocolate or regular milk. Overall, this allowed students to have some fun while learning about milk production and healthy eating habits. The milk mustache stickers and milk drinks to go were a huge hit.
