Lindbergh Pilots Launching the Running Club!

Lindbergh students and their PE teacher revived the old running track line and highlighted it with some fresh paint. Our principal was very kind and purchased some colored charms for the kids to earn after completing each 5-mile distance. The picture shows the first week 2nd grade leaders of the running club. The entire 2nd grade did an awesome job, and with the teacher’s help supervising the laps, the students totaled 64 miles in just 3 running days. Can you believe we don’t get recess every day? We can’t. RUN ON!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Without the help of the teachers and the principal, this running club idea would not work. Teachers had to adjust their recess duty and help out with tracking and recording miles. They bring their totals to the gym on Wednesday to display their success.
