Livingston Intermediate School Student Ambassadors help prepare yogurt parfaits at their first School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meeting. After welcoming guests and preparing yogurt parfaits, the students gave a brief presentation about the Fuel Up to Play 60 program and the importance it PLAYS in their school. The presentation was followed by a Q & A where guests asked questions about the program. Questions were rewarded with an answer and a sunglass-wearing Dairy Max cow!
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Student Ambassadors and Program Advisors teamed up with our school's food service administration and the SHAC to provide a healthy dairy snack at the SHAC meeting. The Student Ambassadors were added to the meeting's agenda and the Program Advisors worked with the food service administrators to get the yogurt parfait bar on the menu for the meeting. With some guidance from the Program Advisors, the Student Ambassadors presented the Fuel Up to Play 60 program to the guests.
