Local Football League Fires Students Up to Exercise
Fired up to exercise brought in Fever football players from our local indoor football league to motivate students to be active. With different exercise stations and of course, football, students experienced a "Ramped Up Recess" and got their sweat on during this Friday lunch time activity! How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

It is agreed upon by program advisors, our student Fuel Up leaders, and local football athletes that it is feasible to continue this program once a week during a lunch time recess.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students were thrilled to exercise with our local superstar athletes and in return, students were positive and actively engaged during recess, ultimately resulting in a decrease of unacceptable behavior.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

In cooperation with program advisors (principal and PE teacher), we met with a representative for our local football team and the student leadership team agreed that students would be excited to exercise with them. We provided the time, the athletes provided the equipment and positive energy.
