The students and I worked together to put together a movie about the importance of breakfast in order to lead a healthy life and have good academics. Several students were willing to share they thoughts on video and then I put together a movie to enter the social media contest. This kick-started our conversation about what Fuel Up to Play 60 is all about. If you ask my students today, they will tell you they need to play 60 minutes a day and make healthy food choices. :)

How did students and adults work together as a team?

I worked with several students to make the movie.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We entered the social media contest and won $500 for new PE equipment. :)

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We talked about what Fuel Up to Play 60 is all about in my PE classes. My students will tell you they need 60 minutes of play a day and that does not mean video games. They need to eat healthy and drink more milk. They know that the NFL and the Dairy Association are sponsoring this program. One of my bulletin boards has the posters up to advertise the program. We posted the video on the school Facebook page. I intend to remind them of the program on a regular basis.
