We have been doing monthly "Snack-Ins" where all the students in the school participate in a short lesson about a healthy snack, and then get to try it for themselves. They have been a big success! The students are excited to try the snacks, and they remember the lessons long after the snacks are done. Search for "whole grain counsel" labels in particular has become like a scavenger hunt for the kids. So far we have tried apples, clementines, yogurt, and popcorn, and we still want to try hummus and frozen yogurt before the end of the year.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

My Student Leadership Team helped to plan what snacks we would present, helped distribute snacks to the classrooms, and helped during the presentations.
