The students of Rusk Elementary have challenged each other do some dancing every day. We dance together at school in the gym and in our classroom. We dance for our families in programs and shows. We dance at home alone or with family and friends. You don't need a gym or any special equipment. We believe dance is a basic human right! No prerequisites or materials needed. We dance with music made from videos, stereos, and even our own hands and feet. We dance alone, with friends and even basketballs (that's the Cha Cha Dribble.)

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The greatest challenge is with those students who are uncomfortable with their abilities, but with continued exposure in a friendly environment, we have finally broken them out of their shell.
