When students go into the courtyard for their lunch recess time, they have the opportunity to walk or jog laps around the courtyard instead of standing on the side. Big feet are painted around the perimeter of the courtyard for students to follow. Laps are then recorded on a poster in the gym.

This worked well because it motivated both students and teachers to get involved.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
Students get excited to see their results posted up in the gym.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The courtyard is a crowded space so students had to be careful while walking so not to interfere with students who were playing ball. Strong reminders were given to be aware when they are moving in the courtyard.
