We do a program called "One Simple Change" each month. This month, we taught about having healthy snacks and smoothies for breakfast. The kids helped us think of ingredients and healthy ways to make the smoothies taste good. We gave out recipes to try at home. For each day they make a smoothie they can mark it off their calendar. We used mint and spinach from our own garden here at school to make a smoothie and let a couple of kids try it. They loved it. The kids were excited about going home and trying them.

The kids are doing this activity on their "One Simple Change" sheets and will continue to do it next year on our monthly activities.
