Physical Activity Participation

All students at Indian Springs Elementary school are taking part in Marathon Kids!! We have been running every week to achieve our goal of running 4 marathons each.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students challenge each other to keep running for 10 minutes during one PE class each week. They also run at home and during recess to achieve their miles. At times the teacher will chase the students to help them increase their pace. The teacher also has a bulletin board where each class keeps track of the total miles they have run as a group throughout the year.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The challenges we have faced included learning how to count our laps and using our Integrity in reporting the distance we ran. We overcome these challenges by practicing and always talking about Integrity.
