March Madness Cheese Taste Testing
Our K-5 elementary school did a March Madness-themed cheese taste testing organized by our FUTP 60 student team. The students chose 4 different kinds of cheese - cheddar, pepperjack, colby jack, and swiss to taste test. Students also decided to add whole grain crackers with the cheese for the taste test. Our student team worked with our kitchen staff to order the cheese, crackers, and small containers and then our whole FUTP 60 team, students and adults, worked together to assemble the cheese samples. Each classroom’s samples and paper copies of the March Madness brackets were organized and delivered by the student team. The taste testing took place in the classrooms and the classroom teachers communicated the results to the FUTP 60 team afterwards. The overall school favorite was communicated to the kitchen staff and then added to the school lunch menu!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our FUTP 60 school team is made up of students and adults who work together to help make our school healthier. For this event, the students organized the ordering and delivering of the cheese and the adults helped assemble the cheese sample cups.
