We had a food group challenge. First, we did a variety of vegetables and healthy dips made out of yogurt. The other challenge was during March madness where we had a fruit challenge. Students were very receptive at least trying each of the items. Students were always interested what fruits had won during March madness and what they would try next. It was great to use some fruits that students don’t usually have access to, which starts great conversation pieces with others.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Students decided what activities that they wanted to do for the school. They also decided on ingredients, fruits they wanted to try, and vegetables. Students worked with adults to have items ready for classrooms.
