McKinley Elementary goes big when it comes to Kickoff!. We want to show others how much fun we have in the FUTP 60 program. The 6 leaders decided to create a video for our kickoff. Since FUTP 60 is sponsored by the NFL, they decided to include the Blaine High School football players. We wanted to showcase being healthy and working hard. McKinley students researched FUTP 60 and came across a kickoff video that had a dance. They decided to learn the dance and include this in the video. They taught the high school football players. It was fun to see the interaction with all the students involved in the video. They worked hard and had so much fun!!!! We know our video was a success because the 6 leaders that were chosen are working hard at becoming Ambassador(2 have accomplished it) and we had 60+ students enroll with our program. We are excited to pick plays and work hard at a successful program!!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The adults really are here to support our 6 leaders. We let them choose the activities the students do and pick the Plays. We are here to guide them where needed.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We have seen a spike in older kid mentorship. They are doing a great job helping the younger students!
