Some of our Fuel up to Play 60 kids went  to Peach Pickin' Paradise during the summer to pick peaches to be served to our students at Lamar Middle School. Several of the middle school FUTP kids helped wash all the peaches before we cut them up. They had the help of parents and staff when they picked, and then the staff helped cut up the peaches and froze them to be used this fall.

How did you accomplish your goals?

With hard work and diligence we were able to pick 14 bushels of peaches and ended up with 66 gallons of peaches that will be served to our students this fall.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will have taste tests in the hallway of the middle school and use the fruit in cobblers and smoothies.
