Milk Mustache Booth at Monte Cristo
"Farm to Fridge" lessons have been discussed during PE class to highlight the benefits of dairy products. The students are encouraged to consume more milk during breakfast and lunch. The "Milk Mustache Booth" campaign was a success. The students were excited to drink to drink milk and show off their milk mustache to each other. We have notice that kids are consuming more milk compared to before our campaign. It was a joy to witness our students laugh and enjoy this experience.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Many students were not drinking milk during lunch because they would bring their own refreshments from home. To encourage students to drink more milk, several lessons were geared towards the benefits of drinking milk.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Milk consumption has increased over the past months. Students are eager to inform us of their milk intake to receive positive praise. It's been a pleasure to witness our students understand the importance of the benefits that milk has to offer.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

My coaching partners and I decided to offer incentives for our students who drink at least two servings of milk a day. Teachers assist with the intake of milk for breakfast while we keep track during lunch. Students are happy with our new practice. It's been a positive experience all around.
