Our school hosted a Mindful Matters Night for parents, students, and community members. The night included a power point presentation that focused on Yoga Moves, Mindful Breathing, Gratitude, Mindful Munching, Mindful night and mornings. We also made Glitter Bottles to use when you are feeling something other than calm. It was a huge success! We also incorporate Mindfulness throughout our school day using brain breaks, GoNoodle, Morning Yoga texts.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our school is very informed and focused on Mindfulness. We use common language such as Shark Breathing, Volcano stance, etc.... Students remind other students to breathe and relax. I see a sense of calmness in our staff and student body.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Improvements that I have seen is the carryover to the community and homes of our students. Parents comment via daily planners, emails and phones calls how much they appreciate Mindfulness being implemented in our classrooms and school community.
