Mindfulness Calming Daily Practice

In-Class Physical Activity Breaks — Good For Mind and Body
We have learned mindfulness calming strategies to help us get ready for our day and calm our brains so learning can go on through using Calming Yoga moves. Calming corner tools, breathing apps and mindfulness videos help us regulate our body, mind and soul. We have also connected this to home so what we learn here at school carries on at home, especially, before students get ready for bed. As we know, enough sleep is the key to learning success and overall health.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We work together to participate in our Mindfulness mission here in our classroom daily and at home connecting school and home together. Our students are ambassadors at home to help their family with our daily mindfulness strategies.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our students are able to use these strategies throughout the day and also at home. This is key so our students are able to self regulate whereever they are and as they move on in their learning path to success.
