MKMS Zombie Run 2015

Our student leaders wanted to host a zombie run that would serve as our Kickoff event. They helped plan the event, create advertisements, and presented to the school's PTO to request some start-up funding. It was a successful event; lots of kids participated, as did many members of the school community, including Newington High School students, MKMS staff, and parents. Most of the kids who attended took the pledge to fuel up and play 60 every day. We started off with a brainstorming session, then one of our student leaders created an ad for the morning announcements. We held a few open meetings that featured a fun physical activity, and a session on advertising and planning the course. Everyone worked together, which helped us accomplish our goals.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We worked together and brainstormed ideas, then to plan the course, advertise, and implement the event.
