This year at my school, Fuel Up to Play 60 kids are taking charge of my walking and running club. We have made cards for students and when students reach 5 miles they get a token. We are also keeping track of total miles and having grades compete for most miles in a year.

How did you accomplish your goals?

I talked to teachers and students about how it would help out at recess. It's a fun way to promote movement

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students are excited about running

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

By teaming up with Kid Striders, students are allowed to go to the Drake's Grand Blue Mile if they get so many miles
