More Physical Activities Equals Success
We wanted to create more activities at our school. We have found that providing more choices of activities has made us more successful in getting kids to be physically active. We added a variety of activities at our school that were a great success. Some of the activities we added are: hurdles relays, football, volleyball, tug-o-war, roller racers and scooters to name a few.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Teachers and students worked together to decide what equipment to purchase in order to offer a variety of fun physical activities at our school.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We provided more activities to encourage more students to be physically active on a daily basis. This was very successful in encouraging students to get 60 minutes of physical activity each day.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan to continue to offer a variety of activities for students at our school. We also plan to change up what the choices are on a weekly basis so that students are engaged and excited to participate in different physical activities.
