Two days a week, students are invited to come to the gym for a 20 minute jogging club. It's open to all 2nd-5th graders. Students can enter as they please, run some laps, as we listen to some upbeat music while jogging. It really gets kids ready for the day and helps those students that have some "extra energy" to burn....keeping them more focused for learning in the classroom and energized for the day!

Teachers are thrilled with the activity and have mentioned seeing improved behaviors in the classroom!

Our school wellness team helped in the planning of the schedule and approached the principal with the idea of continuing the activity for the school year.
How did you accomplish your goals?
We have 30-60 kids each morning running! It's a great way to get kids moving in the morning and energize their brain for learning!
