Taking a leadership role as a freshman in high school can be difficult. But doing so and being incredibly successful is even more challenging. Jessica W., our school's Ambassador has done just that. She is building the Fuel Up To Play 60 program from the ground up at the high school and I'm lucky enough to be her advisor! With the help and leadership from Frontier Middle School's program and Dairy Farmers of Washington, we held an extremely successful community Zumba night! Hundreds showed up and danced the night away. The smoothie bike was a hit and door prizes finished the night with fun give-aways. Jess was also recognized for her accomplishments at the start of the event. I'm having a blast a the new Moses Lake High School Advisor with Jess by my side! I can't wait to see the positive impact we will have on the high school student body in years to come.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Student leader and ambassador, Jessica W. worked closely with me to make this event a success. She was in charge of our timeline and getting advertisement out for the event, and boy did it work! Community members as well as families, students, and teachers showed up to enjoy the night of Zumba!
