Mountain Valley teachers and students teamed up this year to kick off our amazing new Frisbee golf course! With Funds we were able to buy two Frisbee golf nets. With the help of our community we were able to raise funds to purchase a third Frisbee golf nets and Frisbees so that we could develop a nine-hole course right on the school grounds. Now students who hesitate to join the organized sports can get out and get active playing Frisbee golf with friends or by themselves. They can even play after school! With the help of our FUTP 60 student Ambassadors, we were able to create an instructional video for how to play with good sportsmanship and spent a day playing and teaching every child from every grade. We also had time with other fun stations like dancing and yoga. We also spent time discussing healthy food choices and the amazing equipment we received for our cafeteria through the FUTP 60 grant. Check out our Youtube links to see the instructional videos we created and used in our Kickoff assembly.
