Our FUTP 60 team members organized, got approval for and ran all school Brain Breaks before the Christmas recess. They completed these on non-PE days so they were especially appreciated by students and teachers alike.
Using the school speakers, they played music and led a march through the rooms on one day.
On another they led everyone in stretches and movements in their rooms. With the help of our principal they went way retro and played the Chicken Fat song for lively exercise in the rooms. Team members assisted the younger students' rooms with completing some of the exercises.
We look forward to more of these in February
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Our team members worked with our principal and staff to schedule these breaks. The looked over various resources I provided and came up with some of their own to choose the final activities. Announcements were made to prepare everyone for the upcoming breaks.
