Community Involvement

We invited our entire community to come join us for our annual Mustang Stampede! This year we chose to do the event closer to November and gave our Turkeys to race winners. The student and teacher SHAC committee members worked in planning and implementing the Mustang Stampede;  we had a total of 202 participates from the Flowing Wells Community. We used our Funds with turkey giveaways, medals, and FUTP 60 giveaways. Our book fair even got involved, as well as visitors from the Tucson Village Farm.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

It was so cool to see our SHAC teams working together both students and teachers and administrators! planning and implementing all their wonderful ideas. Giving out the turkeys was new this year and we had no idea how that would go, but the people loved it and we hope to do it again! One student who won told us that they would not have had a turkey this year if not for winning his race.
