For our kickoff event we wanted to do something exciting and new. My Fuel Up kids came up with the idea of having an NFL player help us out. Since it was already the NFL season, I figured we could try a local hero and former NFL player, Nate Kaeding. Nate came out and talked to students about eating healthy and being active every day. He also picked two lucky students who got to show off their dance moves to the rest of the school. He dressed them up in his old jerseys and helmets! The kick-off event was awesome and one to remember. The students really enjoyed having Nate come and help us out.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The challenge we faced was coming up with an exciting way to have a kickoff event that was unique and would generate excitement. The kids came up with the idea to have a NFL player. I reached out to Nate Kaeding hoping he would be excited to help us out.
