National Walking Day Kickoff

On October 7, 2015, Shiloh had our Kickoff for FUTP 60. During the day, students came outside to walk the footprints of our future walking path. The path is available at anytime for students, staff, and community members to walk for daily exercise. In addition, students are walking/running the path during their PE classes to accumulate their 100 miles. The day was filled with bright happy faces.

How did you accomplish your goals?

My goal of implementing National Walking Day to kick off FUTP 60 was accomplished by working with administration and teachers to accommodate schedules to meet the needs of our students and incorporate exercise during the school day.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Teachers are encouraged to take the students out on the path during free time. In addition, students run/walk the path during PE.
