Student "L" asked his PE teacher in elementary school if she would help him start a FUTP 60 program. That was the beginning of an awesome program. L was a candidate for State Ambassador his fifth grade year, but couldn't serve because we could not find an adult who would be a PA at his new middle school. After much angst and disappointment, there is an adult who has stepped up to be the PA at Roosevelt Middle School.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Luke accomplished his goal by perseverance and determination. He never gave up.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Together Luke and his PA have developed a leadership team.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge was the administration road block. The former principal was not open to looking at resources when the first option didn't work out. The PA has been a part of the school for a long time and would have gladly participated sooner had she known of the option.
