New Recess Equipment at Yavapai
Our Student Ambassadors voted to update our recess equipment for our Physical Activity Play. Both our primary and intermediate playgrounds needed some things to provide more opportunities for play during recess periods. We purchased four square balls, hula hoops, hackey sacks, jump ropes, soccer balls, basketballs, foam footballs, basketball nets for our hoops, a volleyball, and two large rolling carts one for each playground to keep track of all the new equipment. The new equipment has been fun for everyone to use and the kids have gotten a big kick out of playing more games and using everything in their free time!

How did you accomplish your goals?

We surveyed the 4th and 5th graders to see what type of equipment was most interesting/most needed. After that, we also scouted out each playground as a group to see how much of everything we would need, and what each playground already had. Then we made our purchases!
