NFL Flag Football Garden Park Elementary
Garden Park Elementary had twenty players in the City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation NFL Flag Football league. Garden Park had two teams in the 10 and under division. Those teams consisted of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. One team consisted of 3rd and 4th graders. The team was called the Garden Park Saints. The other team consisted of 5th graders and they were called the Garden Park Chiefs. The two teams played ten regular season games and a single elimination tournament. The players enjoyed the game and are excited about playing again in the city league. Other students, including girls, are interested in playing in the NFL Flag Football League.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We were able to get twenty players to play in the Flag Football league and we have more kids interested in playing, including girls.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We are seeing more involvement with parents and children. More people want to join and help.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Next we are hoping to get more teams and more parents to volunteer and help coach the teams.
