I hosted the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition at my middle school and it was a complete success. I had 4 out of 5 students that advanced participate in the next round of competition and then 1 of those students competed at the following round, which took place at FedEx Field before a Washington Redskins game. I believe that this PPK competition was a success because it allowed me to better know my students as athletes and community members. The students that advanced also asked me for footballs to practice their skills at home to practice with family members and neighborhood friends, which is ultimately time spent playing outside with loved ones.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

This event allowed me to better know the students and family members of my community. I plan on using the momentum from the success of this event to host soccer, basketball, and volleyball events at my middle school.
