This year we used our FUTP 60 funds to help supplement our Social Emotional Learning curriculum that was piloted in our school this year. Our curriculum teaches students the skills of honesty, respect, responsibility as well as positive, polite, and productive behaviors in alignments with our PBIS program. Our FUTP 60 funds helped us purchase a new basketball hoop where students would earn break time for demonstrating the social emotional learning skills across the school day. We also were able to purchase a cold food bar with our funds to provide fresh fruits, dairy, and veggies at many school events/lunch waves.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We have seen student behaviors improve due to the use of the basketball breaks in conjunction with our social emotional learning program. The positive based interventions have made a tremendous improvement for our students. Also just promoting the FUTP 60 program across the school has been amazing for school climate and culture!
