Success with Funds

The brussel sprouts and broccoli have been planted and are starting to grow. Students are learning about the process in the classroom and really getting their hands dirty. Eventually, those vegetables will be a part of our Healthy Smoothie Contest when the students hop on the Fender Blender Pro exercising their bodies and minds and coming up with a delicious snack. They will really enjoy the fruits of their labor and see everything come full circle.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and adults learned about seeds in the classroom and then worked together watching them grow.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Students will continue to work in the garden throughout the year and enjoy the Fender Blender Pro to make delicious smoothies.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Patience!!! Students needed time to see the fruits of their labor come together. Watering and cultivating the soil, waiting for their seeds to grow, while learning about the process in the classroom.
