Access to Healthy Foods

We sponsored an omelet demonstration for 400 students during lunch on March 8, 2017 for National Breakfast Week.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We worked with Chef Jon Harbaugh to demonstrate a sausage, green pepper, cheese filled omelet and give samples out during lunch. This taught our 400 students how easy and fast omelets are to make and the students loved the omelets demonstrated.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

This demonstration will help middle school students to cook nutritious foods at home.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Students were talking about having breakfast for dinner and using the ideas from the breakfast posters posted in the lunchroom and around school to improve their nutrient consumption for breakfast.
