Otter Creek Water Trot Fundraiser
Our school opened it's doors in 2002 to approximately 500 students. Over the past few years, our District has implemented an award winning Dual Language program and Full Day Kindergarten. These fantastic programs have increased our school population by over 250 students. Due to this increase, we are in desperate need of more playground equipment. Working together with our PTO and administrators,  our school held a walk-a-thon to raise money for a bigger playground. The event was called "Otter Creek Water Trot". Students walked a course set up in our play field as teachers and volunteers sprayed them with water. It was a great day! The school raised over $9,000! PTO will be starting the process to have more playground equipment installed this school year!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and adults worked together to; promote the fundraiser, raise the funds, participate in the Otter Creek Water Trot and research, design, and purchase, playground equipment.
