Access to Healthy Foods, Student Leadership, Teamwork
Our newest Healthy Eating project provides the students with an opportunity to plant, grow, harvest, and then enjoy their own vegetables with our school garden. Students learn the process of growing healthy vegetables, and even get to try things like fresh onions and spinach. They want to taste it because they helped to grow it. Our principal, Mr. Adam Clark, is very involved and helps the students plant and harvest the garden.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Our students and teachers worked together to plant, grow, and harvest the produce grown in the garden. Our staff helped the students to prepare the produce to be ready to eat. And of course, both students and teachers enjoyed eating the fresh produce!
